For this competition, the brief was to take a sequence of pitches from the song Adrift, and use them to create something interesting. I used a variety of techniques, including harmonising the melody in different ways, playing the notes forwards and backwards at the same time, reordering the notes into a new melody, and using all the notes at once as a basis for various sound design elements of the piece. It was tough, but a lot of fun!
